Cities of Cloud and Wire — Completed
Cities of Cloud and Wire invites audiences into a world of whimsy and intrigue, brought to life using artistic projections throughout the Pavilion.
Dr. Jason Nelson, (Queensland College of Art’s Bachelor of Creative and Interactive Media) and pioneering projection artist Alinta Krauth develop a series of dynamic projection artworks. Using a range of large and small-scale projection, the Pavilion comes to life through artistic and digital wizardry.
In April, in conjunction with Megafauna, numerous strange and wondrous digital creatures will be unleashed into the rafters, corners and hidden spaces of the building.
In August, alongside Inter, the Beacon will be wrapped in a digital skin of animated poetry that consider scientific themes. The title plays on themes of smart cities, connectedness, real vs. virtual meanings and the ephemerality of the digital.
